and understands how to play. He needs to work on playing a little quicker but
he has a chance to play and compete for some minutes this year." Danny Lambert
was an August addition to the Titans' basketball program as a walk-on and he
could be a significant contributor before too long... Excellent perimeter player
with plenty of offensive potential.
IRVINE VALLEY COLLEGE: Earned all-state honors from the California
Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association last year for Coach
Jerry Hernandez and the Lasers... Twotime first-team All-Orange Empire Conference
selection... As a sophomore averaged 15.8 points per game to rank in the top
50 in the state... Shot 47 percent from 3-point range (22 of 47) and 52 percent
overall... Made 79 percent of his free throws (126 of 159)... Team went 21-9
overall and 10-4 for third place in the conference... He averaged 5.8 rebounds
and 2.0 assists... High games were 32 points (vs. Fullerton) and 11 rebounds
(vs. Chaffey)... As a freshman he averaged 13.0 points and 6.0 rebounds for
a 24-10 team that went 9-5 in conference... High games were 29 points and 10
rebounds... Shot 50 percent from the floor, 34 percent (22 of 65) behind the
arc and 75 percent at the foul line.
HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year varsity letterman at Woodbridge High
School in Irvine for Coach John Haligan... Nominated for McDonald's All-American
team as a senior... Two-time Most Valuable Player of the Sea View League...
Won all-county honors as a senior.
PERSONAL: Born on June 12, 1983, in Madison, Wisconsin...
Parents are Scott and Margie Lambert of Irvine... Has four brothers - Tony,
Tim, Joey and Michael - and a sister, Stephine... Undeclared major... Most
memorable sports thrill was scoring 32 points in a second-half comeback victory
