Biography:

A team leader even as a redshirt in 2005-06, Scott Cutley took on more of a leadership role in his first season in the Titan uniform in 2006-07... Team co-captain who became one of the dominant players in the Big West Conference despite some nagging injuries... Talented, versatile forward with a winning background at Westchester High School and Kent State.... Does all of the little things that lead to victories... Physical and not afraid of contact... Selected to the pre-season 2008 All-Big West Conference team... Expected to be out until at least mid-December after fracturing his right ankle in practice on Oct. 13.

CSF IN 2006-07: He made an immediate impact, scoring 31 points with 11 rebounds in his Titan debut at Louisiana-Lafayette on Nov. 24, after sitting out the first three games for the Titans... Became a first-team All-Big West Conference selection and made the Big West all-tournament team... Led the conference in rebounding (9.5 rpg) and was fifth in scoring (15.6 pg)... Led the conference in double-doubles with 11... Had highs of 35 points vs. UC Davis on Jan. 25 and 15 rebounds at Pepperdine on Dec. 9... Missed only one game (Dec. 16 vs. Bethune Cookman) after suffering a fractured thumb which hampered him for weeks... And he didn't miss a day despite a badly bruised ankle suffered on the eve of the Feb. 14 Long Beach State game.

KENT STATE: Two-year letterman at Kent State in Ohio... Started all but one of the Golden Flashes' 33 games in their 20-13 season in 2004-05 that took them to the post-season NIT... Averaged 7.9 points and 4.6 rebounds while shooting nearly 50 percent for the floor... Was selected freshman of the year after averaging 5.0 points and 3.9 rebounds in 31 games... Had Kent State career-high 22 points vs. Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne on Jan. 17 and a career-best 10 rebounds the next game vs. Buffalo on Jan. 19.

WESTCHESTER HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year varsity letterman at powerful Westchester High School for Coach Ed Azzam... As a senior in 2003, Scott was all-state and all-city as the Comets won the city, regional and state championships and a mythical national title... He made three all-tournament teams playing both small and power forward... As a junior he was third-team All-Western League and got honorable mention as a sophomore... As a freshman was most valuable player of the junior varsity squad.

PERSONAL: Born on June 6, 1985, in Inglewood... Parents are James Cutley and Teresa Morrissey of Torrance... Has an older brother, Sean (30), and an older sister, Yvonne (23)... Communicatons major... Goal is to play professional basketball... Most memorable sports thrill was scoring 30 points against rival Fairfax High School... Credits Coach Azzam for the most influence on his career: "Because he taught me the game so that I did not just rely on natural talent."
