Biography:
Outfielder is the only senior on the team this year. Enjoyed a breakout junior campaign when he hit .313 with nine doubles, two home runs, and 14 RBI. Started 40 games including the majority of the contests in center field during the second half of the year. Despite a lack of blazing speed, was an effective leadoff hitter during the stretch run of '06 because of his ability to get on base (.417 OBP). Gets tremendous reads on fly balls in center field and should return to that position for his final collegiate season. Could continue to bat at the top of the lineup or somewhere in the middle. Key for Seawell will be his health. Has struggled with numerous leg injuries since the end of last season.
