| William Edward Wagner...Married Sarah Quesenberry (12/10/94); two sons, William James (7/29/98) and Jeremy (11/7/00), and one daughter, Olivia Kathleen (6/13/03)...1990 graduate of Tazewell High School (VA)...Went 17-3 in 3 years at Ferrum College (VA)...Holds single-season NCAA records for SO/9.0 IP (19.1 in 1992) and fewest hits allowed per game (1.58 in 1992)...Holds the Division III mark for career strikeouts (327 in 182.1 IP)...Inducted into Salem-Roanoke Baseball Hall of Fame in Salem, VA in February 2003...Started "Billy's K's For Kids" program in 2004 to benefit foster children in Philadelphia...As part of the program, Billy donates $100 per strikeout and $200 per save to the Department of Human Services and encourages fans and corporations to join him...Combined, the program raised over $15,000 in its first season. |
