After opening the year with a tough, 76-66 setback to Texas State to begin the season, the Titans have won two consecutive matchups. The last time Fullerton was on the floor the team collected an amazing, 106-60 victory over Hope International. After this matchup the Titans will head to Anaheim to battle Wake Forest in the 76 Classic. As for the Vikings, they have opened their new year red-hot, winning both of their matchups. With respect to the all-time series between the two schools on the hardwood, the Titans have won four of the five meetings.

Although it is still early in the season the Titans have looked unstoppable offensively, as the team is producing a whopping 87.3 ppg, while shooting an equally talented 48.5 percent from the floor. Josh Akognon has been the main scoring threat for Fullerton early on, as the guard is netting an impressive 25.7 ppg. Gerard Anderson has been dominate down low, as the forward is averaging 14.3 ppg to go along with a team-best 6.7 rpg. Aaron Thompson is the only other player chipping in double figures consistently, as the guard comes into this game with 10.0 ppg. In the recent win over Hope, the Titans were superb, shooting a staggering 59.7 percent from the field, which included a 10-of-20 clip from long range. Akognon led the way with 25 points, while Streeter tallied 13 points to go along with 12 assists. Chris Rhymes, Raymond Miller and Anderson all contributed 12 points apiece, while Thompson chipped in 11.

The Vikings' quick start can be attributed to the play of Jeremiah Dominguez. The guard has been sensational in the first two matchups, netting 23.5 ppg, while shooting 60.0 percent from behind the arc. Jamie Jones has been the main attraction down low for Portland State, as the forward is netting 13.5 ppg to go along with 8.0 rpg. The most consistent effort coming off the bench has been Dominic Waters, who is chipping in 13.0 ppg. In the victory over Portland back on November 18th, the Vikings once again relied heavily on Dominguez, as the guard powered Portland State with 23 points to go along with five steals. Jones added 14 points, while Andre Murray tallied 10 points to go along with four assists. Overall, Portland State shot a healthy 50.9 percent from the floor, and also connected on 18-of-25 shots from the foul line.

The Titans have done a terrific job offensively, but this should be the team's toughest task to date, and defeating Portland State at the Stott Center will definitely be a difficult task.
